The species produces a domed hood with beautiful light in uses to confuse prey. The okeefenokensis variety is found around the Okeefenokee swamp in southern Georgia. Plants from this region are significantly larger than other varieties of the species and have been documented to be 3 feet tall or higher. Plants are most often found
